What Is Title Insurance?
For most of us, buying a home is the biggest and most important investment we will ever make. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance to make sure that the person we buy from is actually the owner and has the right to sell the property to us.
"Title" to real estate refers to your ownership rights with respect to the home and the land on which it sits. It gives the owner the right to use and sell the property.
Why do I need Title Insurance?
Title Insurance is your protection from claims by others against your ownership interest in the property.
What's the difference in policy types?
There are two types of title insurance policies: an owner's policy and a lender's policy . The owner's policy protects the buyer's interest in the property. The lender's policy protects the lender's interest in the property.

How often do I have to pay to keep my insurance up to date?
Unlike most other types of insurance, title insurance premiums are only paid once, usually by the Seller at closing, yet its protection lasts for as long as you own the property!
